Planning Permission Extension Agreements Have Been Clarified
There has been a little uncertainty of late regarding the new planning consents procedure but we can now shed a little more light on things.
News is that government has said that the power to prolong the time limits for already existing full planning permissions will apply to all qualifying consents and not just stretching to those for major developments. These latest arrangements came into force on 1st October and cover both listed building and conservation area consents.
They will apply to planning permissions which are extant both on 1st October and at the date of application and that have not yet commenced. Outline permissions may also be extended under this power. New application documents, help notes and fee details are available from the Planning Portal so you should make your first point of call from there.
